Closing or termination of a representative office or branch on the territory of the RF can be done prematurely or after the expiration of an accreditation period (term) which is indicated in a permission of a representative office or a branch certificate of a foreign body corporate.
According to the decision of a foreign body corporate the activity of its representative office or a branch in Russia may be terminated.
A foreign body corporate shall notify the State Registration Chamber on a taken decision to terminate its activity on the territory of Russia. On these grounds the State Registration Chamber starts preparing a letter of termination of a representative office or a branch of a foreign body corporate in Russia.
While closing the representative office or branch one shall return to the State Registration Chamber the documents for accreditation which were given earlier together with seals and stamps.
Next: The letters with such notice are drawn within 21 days from the date of submission of all documents. This period can be reduced to 7 working days.
After the State Registration Chamber receives the letter on termination of a representative office or branch of a foreign body corporate in Russia the office/branch shall be de-registered from the Federal Tax Service and off-budget funds and state statistical bodies.
